Leadership & Advisory Board
PASIDA is deliberately thin at the centre and deep in the network. The secretariat holds standards and coordination; the expertise lives with the Associates.
Secretariat roles
Executive lead
Accountable for strategy, partnerships and the integrity of the Associates roster.
Editorial director
Holds editorial independence for Insights and the Think Tank; final call on publication.
Advisory delivery lead
Assembles engagement teams, holds quality and client communication.
Network & membership lead
Runs vetting, onboarding and Associate support across regions.
Thematic lead — Energy
Convenes the energy working group and reviews energy outputs.
Thematic lead — Water
Convenes the water working group and reviews water outputs.
Thematic lead — Climate
Convenes the climate working group and reviews climate outputs.
Advisory Board
Composition
Nine to twelve members drawn from all five African sub-regions and the diaspora, with at least one third early- or mid-career.
Mandate
Sets research priorities, safeguards editorial independence and reviews the vetting standard annually.
Term
Three years, renewable once. Members serve in a personal capacity, not as institutional representatives.
Disclosure
All members publish affiliations and recuse themselves where a conflict arises.
